This 1 hour course will teach you the basic necessary skills to identify & support someone suffering from a mental health disorder. You will learn an understanding of what mental health means along with how to signpost people to professional help.
Having spent 25 years in the licensing and security industry, Tony realised that he had spent much of his time training to deal with a diverse set of situations that he faced on a daily basis when dealing with the public and often when tensions were raised.
In 2014 he qualified to teach various courses. In 2016 he expanded upon his qualifications to train First Aid, Paediatric First Aid, Mental Health First Aid Instructor and passing as an ECA (Emergency Care Assistant]. Since then he has continued to expand upon his medical knowledge by spending a lot of time working as a Field Medic.
He is able to relate his teaching to its daily use in practise. His ambition is to make students feel confident enough to deal with whatever situation they may face, which is relevant to the subject training they have been given.
